TODAY WAS THE DAY!!

Okay, guys...it's over! At 3:00 pm central time we drew the winner of the Pink Trailer. It was bitter cold today (yes, in Texas!) We were at Wal-Mart for over 7 hours freezing, but it was bearable because it was for Amy!
Check out the picture above of several of us waiting...

We asked Amy's baby sister, Kaylen, to come to Graham and draw the winning ticket. Drum roll, please...the winner is
DIANA TUBB of OLNEY, TX

But the story continues because Diana bought 5 tickets to help out Amy and her family. She really doesn't have a need for the trailer, so she may be interested in selling it. If you would like to contact her with an offer, her email is:
d_kay_der@yahoo.com

Leayh, Jill, Debra, Kaylen, Amy's Dad Jerry
and Muriel with the winning ticket!

HERE IS THE LUCKY LADY RECEIVING HER KEYS with Jill, Muriel and Debra

We know many of you are disappointed to not win this awesome trailer, however, the best news is what we raised for Amy....as of this post, the total for ticket sales and many donations is approximately $16,850.00!!!!!!!!!

God gets the glory for all of this. We were only his instruments. And we thank each and every one of you for your generosity. This raffle could never have been possible otherwise. We have been sooo blessed by this experience. Words cannot even begin to express what it has been like to see the outpouring of help, prayers, and words of encouragement that have been sent for this courageous young mother from people who do not even know her! And from ALL OVER THE UNITED STATES!!! AMAZING!!!!

We also want to extend a special thanks to Debra Grace for all her unselfish help. She helped keep books, make deposits and even co-ordinated a weekend of selling tickets by her self. Thank You Debra!!

We love and applaud you all!!!!!!!!

RAFFLE, RAFFLE, RAFFLE

Today we printed the Raffle tickets...! This is soooo exciting! We have the "cutest" pink 1973 Shasta Compact trailer (with original wings!) that has been donated by a dear friend to raffle for a fundraiser. The proceeds will be given to Amy and her family to help with the expenses from her illness. Amy will be undergoing chemotherapy, surgery, radiation, and chemotherapy again while caring for a husband and 4 small children. She and her husband, Brent, are a living testimony to their faith. And we, a group of her sisters in Christ, have rallied together to raise funds to help with their expenses during this journey. If you would like to read more about Amy, Brent, and their family, you may go to their Caring Bridge site.

The decision has been made to draw for this cutie on February 14, 2009. Yes, Valentine's Day, a day for love, should be perfect!

We really have great plans for this (Pink!) trailer raffle...
  • Amy is a representative for Mary Kay (Pink!)
  • Amy is a Breast Cancer patient (Pink!)
  • The lady who donated the trailer painted it (Pink!) to be her camper for Sisters on the Fly
  • And finally, it is decorated with lots of pretty, cottage (Pink!) decor items!
It will be so much fun for any lady, young or old, to enjoy...

In fact, we think it will make a GREAT PLAYHOUSE for some lucky little girl!!!!

HOW CAN YOU HELP???

Buy Raffle tickets and tell everyone you know to log on here, check us out, and buy raffle tickets!!
Each ticket is only $5.00!! Naturally, you can purchase any number of tickets for more chances to win!!! Just think...you can WIN a trailer for a small donation!
